Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit and Nongprue Police Station arrived to find a chaotic scene with a damaged Honda Girano motorcycle overturned on the road. A 15-year-old boy, identified only as Tee, suffered severe lacerations from broken glass and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Another victim, 31-year-old Sattawat, was critically injured and transported by friends but later succumbed to his wounds. An 18-year-old, Akkaradet, also sustained injuries in the clash. The attackers fled before authorities arrived, leaving behind a knife, shattered glass, and a zinc fence damaged by the crashed motorcycle.

According to 19-year-old Phongthron, the violence stemmed from an unresolved dispute over a woman. After failed mediation attempts, his group had arranged a meeting that the rival faction did not attend. As they dispersed, the opposing group allegedly ambushed them armed with a knife, a firearm, and a homemade explosive. During the attack, Sattawat lost control of his motorcycle, colliding with a parked car and becoming trapped beneath the vehicle. Witnesses reported that the assailants attempted to shoot him before being deterred by Phongthron, who pleaded for restraint due to their prior acquaintance. The situation escalated further when Sattawat’s brother, 32-year-old Yuphalap, drove his bronze Honda Accord into the attackers to create an escape path for the wounded.

Yuphalap recounted that as his group attempted to leave, they were pursued by motorcycle-riding assailants brandishing a gun. Upon finding Sattawat critically injured and surrounded by hostile youths preventing aid, he made the split-second decision to ram his vehicle into the crowd to facilitate rescue efforts.

Additional testimony came from 18-year-old Ms. Saithan, who revealed that the rival group had previously targeted her with a homemade bomb that failed to detonate. She described how the planned reconciliation meeting was aborted, and as her group departed, they were chased by the rivals who demanded they stop. While she narrowly avoided being stabbed, Sattawat crashed during the pursuit. CCTV footage reviewed by investigators corroborated key details, showing the victim’s motorcycle losing control and striking a parked car before a large brawl erupted. The footage also captured the moment Yuphalap’s Accord struck two combatants, damaging nearby property in the process.

The incident has raised concerns over escalating youth violence in the area, prompting calls for heightened community vigilance and conflict mediation efforts.
