Police Helicopter Crash in Prachuap Khiri Khan Claims Three Lives
PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN – A police helicopter crashed in Muang district this afternoon, killing all three officers on board while a fourth individual managed to parachute to safety.

The victims have been identified as Major Prathuang Chulert, the pilot; Police Captain Songphol Boonchai, the co-pilot; and Police Lieutenant Tinkrit Suwannoli, the flight mechanic. The condition of the surviving crew member, who ejected before impact, remains unclear.

The Bell 212 helicopter had departed from a police camp in Chumphon province en route to Naresuan camp in Prachuap Khiri Khan when it went down near Nong Pung Puai Temple in Ko Lak sub-district around 1:30 p.m. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
Police Commissioner-General Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet extended his condolences to the families of the deceased officers and assured that they would receive full compensation. Rescue teams and forensic investigators remain at the scene as the probe continues.
