The Surat Thani Immigration Bureau confirmed the arrest of 38-year-old Mr. K. near Bo Phut pier on May 19, 2025, under an extradition order from the Thai Criminal Court. The suspect faces deportation to the United Kingdom to answer charges related to armed robbery.
In a parallel operation, investigators detained 37-year-old Mr. A., who had been residing in Chaweng Beach under a tourist visa while allegedly operating multiple businesses through Thai nominees. Authorities discovered the fugitive had been convicted of fraud in the UK before fleeing to Thailand. Immigration police raided seven establishments suspected of being connected to Mr. A.’s operations, with officials now examining potential financial violations.
