Dutch Motorbike Rider Fined after Doing Wheelies in Koh Samui

A video clip went viral in a local social media group on Saturday (December 21st). A foreign rider was seen in the clip appearing to be doing wheelies near the Big Buddha Temple on the Bangrak – Cherng Mon Road in Bophut. Netizens expressed concern for the actions saying they could cause serious injury to the rider and innocent people around him if there was an accident and asked for police to take action.

Middle Eastern Rider Arrested for Wheelies in Front of Phuket Police Station

The Bophut Police Chief Colonel Denduang Thongsuk told the Phuket Express that they tracked down the rider who was later identified only as a 28 year-old male Netherland national. He was taken to the Bophut Police Station.
