German Man Detained for Stealing 86,000 Baht From Hotel in Phuket
A young “German” man, identified as Mohamed, 22, was apprehended following the theft of 86,000 baht from a hotel in Patong, Phuket.

Authorities at the Patong Police Department reported that on Thursday, January 25th, a foreign man absconded with 86,000 baht from a cash register at a resort located on Patong’s Pracha-Uthit Road.

The perpetrator made no effort to conceal his identity, and even looked directly into a nearby CCTV camera before leaving. Moreover, he was not a customer of the hotel, police said. The resort management immediately filed a formal complaint with the Patong police, providing video footage of the incident.

The following day, law enforcement officers were able to arrest the suspect. The Phuket Provincial Court had issued an arrest warrant for robbery.
