Wat Lan Bun (Wat Pla) in Lat Krabang, Bangkok

Wat Lanbun (วัดลานบุญ in Thai) also known as Wat Pla (Fish Temple) is a Buddhist temple located in Lat Krabang, one of the 50 districts of Bangkok, very close to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Wat Lanbun or Wat Lan Boon is famous because Thais and tourists, especially children, feed the fish in the canal (Khlong in Thai) after paying homage to Buddha, hence the name Wat Pla: The Fish Temple. A sign welcomes you to “Suan Pla Tammachat Watlamboon”.

It is a conventional Thai temple with a few buildings and a small market with food and amulets. The main building houses small golden Buddha images.

There is also an interesting floating market located on the Prawet Burirom canal.
