Wang Saen Suk Hell Garden, Horror Scary Park in Bang Saeng, Chonburi Province
Wang Saen Suk Hell Garden is one of the many scary parks in Thailand. This horror park is situated not far from Sriracha, not far from Pattaya and, of course, very close to the coastal city of Bang Saeng, just a 90-minutes drive from Bangkok. If I’m not wrong the park is located at the following address: Saen Suk, soi 19 Bangsaen, Chon Buri, Thailand.
After enjoy a lunch on the beach, basically seafood and the unavoidable rice dish(es), it’s time to visit Wang Saen Suk Hell Garden, a very realistic Buddhist scary park or “Naraka”. Many Thai families bring their children to this horror park.
The largest hell garden in Thailand
At the entrance there is a smiling Big Buddha and one can try to throw some coins inside his mouth or navel in order to get good luck. There is also a sign with the legend: “Welcome To Hell”. Yes, this park is the hell, and you, visitors, will be able to see, under the Buddhist perspective, any of the punishments and all kind of horrific tortures you could get if you’re not good guys or good girls in this life: “You will get what you do to others”.
The last time we visited the park we didn’t see any other tourists, just a few monks and the temple’s staff plus some souvenir vendors.
Inside you will notice there is a temple and a few souvenir shops which sell a variety of plastic toys, supposed to avoid children from crying. This park is pretty scary.
After visiting the temple, keep walking until you see two ugly giant sinners (see photos) which represent a man and a woman with long drooping tongues.
A scary park in Chonburi
Wang Saen Suk Hell Garden is plenty of different horror caricatures of people being tortured in the afterlife, representing how you will be living in hell depending on what you did wrong in your life. Each punishment which is represented with sculptures is explained in both Thai and English languages.
This scary park also has 12 funny statues that represent the Chinese Zodiac animals: The Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
The complex has a small lake where one can feed the fish. Visitors can buy some food for themselves (and the fish) and relax after a horrific experience in the hell.
