PHUKET: A foreign woman was saved from drowning at Patong beach in Phuket shortly before sunrise on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred on Patong beach opposite Thaweewong post office, said Pol Col Itthikorn Patcharadet, deputy tourist police chief at Phuket tourist police station.
