KRABI — A 52-year-old French woman was killed after being hit by a speedboat while snorkelling at Koh Poda in this coastal province on Tuesday afternoon.

The tourist, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, was struck in the head around 4pm by the boat propeller on the southern end of Poda island, said Pol Lt Col Anurak Prinyasathirakul, a Krabi marine police inspector.
