Foreign countries hope Thailand will achieve democracy soon

BANGKOK, Aug 22 – Foreign countries understood Thailand’s politics and economic situation and hope to see the kingdom achieve a democratic system soon, said Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow said today.

Mr Sihasak, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, told journalists after presiding over the 15th Senior Officials Meeting of the Forum for East Asia Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) in Bangkok, that the meeting is a good opportunity for countries in Latin America and East Asia to confer on culture, trade, investment, education and science.
