Thailand’s 4G licence auction to go ahead

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) says auction for the fourth generation (4G) mobile phone licences on the 1,800 and 900 MHz spectrums will go ahead despite of the power change.

A NBTC commissioner Prasert Silpipat said the NBTC will announce an invitation for interesting bidders in July to take part and by end of August auction for licences on the 1,800 MHz spectrum will kick off.
