Rally leader Amorn Amornrattananon, who let a chaotic protest at Chamai Maruchet Bridge, ordered protesters to retreat and wait for what he called “good news” at 8.30pm.

Amorn’s statement came admist reports that Suthep Thaugsuban, core protest leader, left his base at the Government Complex with his close aide; Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, to meet Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at an unknown location for a second time.
