China, Thailand vow to boost trade, investment in agricultural sector

NANNING, Sept 3 – China has expressed its intention to support Thai agricultural production including investment in Thailand’s Rubber City project and imports of a further one million tonnes of Thai rice, according to a Thai government spokesman.

Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is now on an official visit to Nanning, capital of southern China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to attend the opening ceremony of the 10th China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, which opens today and continues through Friday.
