Bangkok: Red Shirts to commemorate May 19 incident

BANGKOK, April 20 – The United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), the so-called Red Shirt movement, will rally May 19 at Ratchaprasong intersection in downtown Bangkok to mark the second anniversary of the May 19 protest clampdown in 2010 and to commemorate those killed during the political demonstration.

UDD spokesman Worawut Vichaidit announced on Friday that the Red Shirts will organise activities at Ratchaprasong, in the capital’s prime business and shopping zone, beginning midday on May 19 through 4am on May 20.
