Thailand to offer compensation for slain Japanese cameraman Hiroyuki Muramoto

The government yesterday agreed to pay compensation to the family of Japanese photographer Hiroyuki Muramoto who was killed during the anti-government protests in 2010.

The decision came hours before Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra left for Tokyo on a four-day official visit ending on Friday with the main agenda to bolster confidence of Japanese investors after many factories were damaged by the floods last year.
