Thai opposition seeks to impeach 8 ruling party MPs for flood relief interference

BANGKOK, Dec 2 – Thailand’s opposition Democrat Party on Friday filed a motion with the Senate Speaker to impeach eight Pheu Thai Party lawmakers including Justice Minister Pracha Promnog for alleged flood relief operations interference.

In his capacity as deputy opposition chief whip, Democrat MP for Rayong Satit Pitutecha submitted the motion endorsed by 150 MPs to Senate Speaker Theeradej Meepian, asking him to forward the case to the Office of National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
