Thai Supreme Commander: Military will not interfere in politics

BANGKOK, April 5 – Thailand’s Supreme Commander Gen Songkitti Jaggabatara on Tuesday urged the public not to believe the rumors over possible coup, saying the military will not interfere in politics.

The supreme commander made the statement as he held a joint news conference with the commanders of three armed forces as rumors swirled that the army is plotting the new coup to break the country’s political deadlock.
