Phuket police have arrested a Russian national for allegedly working without authorization during a raid on a vehicle rental business in Cherng Talay. The suspect, identified only as Ivan, a Russian national, was found to be residing in Thailand under a NON-ED (education) visa, which does not permit employment. Authorities seized nine cars and forty-six motorcycles from the premises for further investigation.

Police have stepped up efforts to crack down on unauthorized employment, particularly cases involving foreign nationals misusing visa categories. Officers are now examining the case to determine if additional legal violations occurred. The suspect remains in custody as legal proceedings move forward.
