On the rooftop, rescuers found the man, identified only as Mr. Q, floating inside a tank measuring approximately 2 meters in length and height. The rescue proved physically demanding, requiring emergency responders to haul equipment up multiple flights of stairs and use ladders and ropes to extract the tourist safely. The operation took over 30 minutes, made more difficult by communication barriers and the confined space of the tank.
A Thai acquaintance of the tourist, who had been staying with him, informed authorities that Mr. Q had been involved in an argument with a foreign partner and had missed his prescribed medication for two days. He reportedly disappeared the night before, prompting a search. On the day of the incident, he climbed onto the rooftop and jumped into the tank, apparently intending to swim. Condo staff spotted the situation and quickly alerted the friend, who called emergency services.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage and collecting evidence to determine how Mr. Q accessed the restricted rooftop area. He has been taken to a local hospital for psychiatric evaluation and treatment. Authorities have yet to confirm whether any charges will be filed but are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
