Korean Driver Killed in Collision with Truck on Pattaya Motorway

Pattaya, Thailand – A fatal accident shook the Nongprue area of Pattaya in the early hours of Saturday, March 1st, when a Korean driver lost his life after his car collided with a container truck. The crash occurred on Motorway 7, Section 5 (Bangkok–Chonburi), and has sparked an investigation by local authorities to determine the cause.

Emergency responders were notified at 3:06 A.M. and arrived swiftly to find a severely damaged small car with the driver, identified as 43-year-old Mr. Lee, a Korean national, trapped inside. Despite immediate rescue efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nearby, a container truck was also located at the crash site. The truck driver, stated that Mr. Lee’s car had rear-ended his vehicle while he was in motion. He maintained that he was not responsible for the accident. However, authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause and are not ruling out any factors.

Highway Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to reconstruct the sequence of events. Preliminary assessments suggest that high speed may have played a role in the crash. Authorities will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
