French Fugitive Wanted for Prison Break and Murder Arrested in Phuket
PHUKET, Thailand – In a dramatic international police operation, Thai immigration authorities have arrested a 24-year-old French fugitive wanted for his role in a deadly prison break and the murder of correctional officers in France.

The suspect, identified only as “Mr. A.”, had been on the run since orchestrating a high-stakes escape of a prisoner in France, which turned fatal when security personnel were killed during the breakout. The case triggered an Interpol Red Notice, with French authorities issuing an international arrest warrant.
Acting on intelligence shared by the French Embassy and Interpol, Phuket Immigration Police launched a covert operation to track the fugitive, who had fled to Thailand in an attempt to evade capture. After weeks of surveillance, officers located Mr. A. in a hideout in Phuket. Upon arrest, the suspect reportedly admitted to his crimes, though further interrogation is ongoing.
