Bomb attack at Tak fair: 3 dead and 53 injured

TAK (NBT WORLD) – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has expressed condolences following a bomb attack at the “Amazing Doi Loi Fah Red Cross Fair” in Umphang district, Tak province. The explosion, which took place near the stage of a dance event on the evening of December 13, resulted in three deaths and left 53 people injured, including six critically. The injured are being treated at Umphang Hospital, with ten transferred to Mae Sot Hospital for advanced care.

Illegal Migrant Workers Arrested by Highway Police in Tak

In response to the attack, the prime minister instructed the Royal Thai Police and local security forces to urgently assist victims, investigate the incident, and apprehend those responsible. She has ordered heightened security at festival venues nationwide, including inspections for dangerous items, to safeguard public safety. Financial assistance for the families of the deceased and the injured, including covering medical costs, is being provided through relevant government agencies, with updates on the situation to be reported directly to her.
