Egyptian man arrested in Bangkok for sexually assaulting Thai woman in condo lift

The incident occurred after the man followed the woman into the building and later into the elevator, where he reportedly touched her inappropriately and attempted to grab her hands.

The woman managed to escape when the elevator returned to the lobby.

The suspect was later identified and detained at his residence in the Ramkhamhaeng area. During police questioning, with the assistance of an interpreter, he admitted to the assault. The case has drawn criticism over the condominium’s lax security measures, as the man was able to bypass the guard post with ease. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities reviewing evidence and formalizing charges.
