Thailand Simplifies Immigration at Key Checkpoints, Suspends Filing of TM6

BANGKOK (NNT) – The government has announced a temporary suspension of the ‘To Mo 6’ (TM6) immigration form for foreign travelers at various land and sea entry points. The move, effective from April 15 to October 15, is designed to streamline immigration procedures and reduce congestion. The TM6 form, which requires foreigners to provide passport and personal travel details upon entry and exit, was already abolished for air travelers in July 2022.

Foreigners must still fill in ‘TM6’ immigration form for security reasons

The suspension will affect sixteen immigration checkpoints across Thailand. For land entries, the eased regulation covers checkpoints in Sa Kaeo, Mukdahan, Nong Khai, Chiang Rai, Songkhla, Narathiwat, and Yala. Specifically, the Mukdahan and Nong Khai checkpoints will only apply this suspension to travelers using designated overland and rail transportation routes.
