TAT and Calm App Launch Thai Wellness Sleep Story

BANGKOK (NNT) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has teamed up with the Calm app, renowned for meditation and sleep assistance, to introduce a new Thai-themed ‘Extreme Sleeps’ wellness travel story. This latest addition offers listeners a tranquil experience along the River Kwai, one of the world’s most famous waterways.

TAT Targets 3.5 Trillion Baht Tourism Revenue in 2024

The project, highlighting Thailand as a wellness destination, features a Sleep Story written by UK adventurer and travel writer Phoebe Smith. The story, part of the ‘Extreme Sleeps’ series, recounts Smith’s night on the River Kwai. Smith’s adventure began with a TAT-arranged press trip, where she spent several days in Kanchanaburi province, experiencing the river’s surroundings, and local community life.

Sadudee Sangnil, Director of the TAT London Office, said the collaboration aims to promote Thailand as a place of mental well-being and relaxation, alongside its vibrant cultural offerings.
