Ferry boats across Chao Phraya River ordered to stop in face of fast-flowing water

BANGKOK, 11 October 2016 (NNT) – The Department of Harbors has instructed the operators of large-sized ferry boats across Chao Phraya River in Uthai Thani and Chainat provinces to temporarily stop their services in the face of the fast-flowing water.

The water in the river has risen fast and ferry boats might possibly be in harm’s way in provincial seat areas of Uthai Thani and Chainat and Manorom district, according to a report of the Department of Harbors.
