‘Popcorn gunman’ trial concludes

The Criminal Court will pass judgement on March 3 on alleged “popcorn” gunman Vivat Yodprasert, accused of shooting four pro-government supporters at Laksi intersection during a demonstration there on the eve of the Feb 2, 2014 elections.

The shooting occurred while protesters of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) were laying siege to a polling unit near the Laksi district office, intending to prevent the election being held.
