90% of Pattaya’s 1 billion THB worth of CCTV cameras are broken, new claim suggests

There is a debate raging between officials and police who claim 99% of the CCTV cameras are broken in Pattaya. Officials dispute this, claiming 86% are working.

No one has a definitive answer. The installation cost 1 Billion Baht. The other question raised is where does the footage go? Sometimes no where.

There is a plan for a central control room but it has been a plan for a very long time and has yet to go into the execution phase.
