U.S. Charge-d’affaires in Thailand denied reports on former PM Yingluck Shinawatra’s asylum attempt

BANGKOK, 11 February 2015 (NNT) – The U.S. Charge-d’affaires in Thailand has denied reports that former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has been seeking an asylum in the United States of America.

Patrick Murphy, the U.S. Charge-d’affaires in Thailand, on Wednesday had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Yongyuth Yuthavong, during which Mr. Murphy relayed a message from Washington that expressed a wish for Thailand to return to normal soon.
