Hospitals on alert as holidaymakers take to roads for New Year

BANGKOK, Dec 27 – Public Health Minister Dr Rajata Rajatanavin has ordered state-run hospitals nationwide to stay on alert as holidaymakers are preparing to return to their hometowns or enjoy the five-day holidays, starting from the New Year’s Eve to next January 4.

Dr Rajata on Saturday inspected preparations made by Bang Lamung and Chon Buri hospitals in the eastern province of Chon Buri to cater to accident victims during the holiday period.
