DDPM warns of flash floods in East and South during June 4-8

BANGKOK, 3 June 2014 (NNT) – The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has cautioned 12 provinces in the eastern and southern regions to beware of possible flashfloods and landslides tomorrow through this weekend.

Based on the data received from the Meteorological Department, Director-General of the DDPM Chatchai Promlert indicated that the southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea and Thailand was gaining strength and would cause wet conditions in the East and on the west coast of the South.
