Chiang Mai preparing for possible earthquakes by holding emergency drills

CHIANG MAI, 20 june 2014 (NNT) – Chiang Mai province is gearing up for possible earthquakes by conducting emergency drills.

Chiang Mai Governor Suriya Prasatbandit chaired a meeting to prepare for the province’s annual disaster drills with other relevant organizations in attendance. This year, the Chiang Mai Internal Security Operations Command has scheduled earthquake and emergency drills during 2 – 3 August at a cargo warehouse in the Chiang Mai International Airport and at the Sansai hospital.
