2 soldiers wounded in Pattani bomb ambush

PATTANI, June 20 – Two soldiers providing protection for local teachers in violence-plagued Pattani province were wounded in a bomb ambush, while many areas in the south have protest banners with inscriptions attacking governmental officials hanging around the city.

The insurgents planted a home made bomb near Ban Bang Rai, a village in Nong Chik district’s Bang Khao subdistrict against an eight-soldier patrol providing security and safety for local teachers.
