Thai Driving Test Toughening Up

Following a spate of recent road accidents, the tests for obtaining a Thai driving license are set to become tougher as of the 1st June.

Responding to a new policy set out by the Department of Land Transport, the Chonburi/Banglamung Branch is planning to extend the number of training hours from four to 12 or more.

This is because the Department believes that many of the recent accidents have been caused by drivers being fundamentally unaware of driving rules and regulations.
