Russian Tourist Arrested for Alleged Assault on Pattaya’s Walking Street

A 26-year-old Russian tourist has been arrested on suspicion of molesting a Thai woman in the early hours of the morning on Pattaya’s Walking Street. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m., when the suspect, identified as Mr. I. V., allegedly approached the woman and groped her breasts in front of her daughter.

According to the victim’s statement, the suspect was heavily intoxicated at the time. After the initial assault, she struck him once in response, but he allegedly attempted to touch her again. The woman then kicked him and demanded an apology. When Mr. I. V. refused, she called for help and alerted the police, who arrived promptly and placed him under arrest.

The suspect is currently in police custody as authorities proceed with the legal process. The case highlights ongoing concerns regarding safety and conduct in Pattaya’s bustling nightlife district, with local police reiterating their commitment to protecting residents and visitors from such offenses.
