PM Yingluck Shinawatra deeply concerned over state of nation due to political turmoil

BANGKOK, 30 April 2014 (NNT) – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra expressed her concerns about the nation’s deepening economic woes and the government’s delayed response to correct a number of social and environmental problems due to the political impasse.

Ms. Yingluck posted on her Facebook page after a ministerial meeting, saying that the delay in organizing new elections and forming a new government has resulted in a series of socio-economic problems. The polls have been pushed back from its original deadline by 3 months and an appropriate timeframe for the new general election has not been set up yet.
