CAPO to seek warrants against 58 PDRC protest leaders

BANGKOK, March 20 – The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) today said it will seek court approval for arrest warrants against 58 anti-government protest leaders if they fail to acknowledge charges for allegedly violating the emergency decree and obstructing the Feb 2 general election by the end of this month.

Department of Special Investigation (DSI) chief Tarit Pengdith, as CAPO secretary, said police, DSI investigators and prosecutors of the Attorney General’s will combine the charges related to election obstruction with the insurrection charges against the 58 leaders of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) including Suthep Thuagsuban, PDRC secretary general.
