Two police officers wounded in Bangkok clash die today, death toll rises to 7

BANGKOK, Feb 24 – Two police officers who were seriously wounded in last week’s clash with anti-government protesters at Phan Fah Bridge, Ratchdamnoen Avenue, died in hospital this morning.

National police spokesman Piya Uthayo identified the two officers as Pol Lance Cpl Saravuth Chaipanha, 28 from Banglamung station in Chonburi and Pol Sr Sgt Major Saiyud Marian, 45, from Dok Kam Tai police station in the northern province of Phayao.
