AYUTTHAYA, Sept 17 – Water released from an upstream dam has caused widespread flooding in the central province of Ayutthaya.

Sena district chief Rewat Prasong said people living along the river have been affected after water stored in the Chaophraya Dam in Chai Nat province was released into the central region through two rivers — the Chaophraya and the Noi.
