SURAT THANI, June 15 – Some 100 households in four villages of Surat Thani’s Phrasaeng district have been affected by flooding due to continuous heavy rain in the area over several days.

The heavy rains caused the I-pan canal to overflow its banks and flood four nearby villages along with five local roads linking each village. Many areas were flooded as deep as one metre in some locations and the roads were left impassable.
