Pattani insurgent attacks claim one life, 7 injured

PATTANI, June 9 – A member of a village protection unit was shot dead on Saturday, while seven persons including two monks were wounded in a separate bombing attack by presumed insurgents in this restive south province.

The first incident took place in Panare district when Achi Madae, 48, member of a village protection unit, was shot dead in a tea shop.
