Biggest pirate CD-DVD production operation raided in Bangkok

BANGKOK, May 11 – Thailand’s Department of Special Investigation (DSI) led a joint operation of government agencies cracking down on the country’s biggest pirate CD-DVD production house and confiscating a haul of pirated media estimated to be valued at many millions of baht as well as major caches of production equipment.

DSI Director General Tharit Pengdit told a press conference Friday that the DSI joined forces with the Department of Intellectual Property and the National Federation of Thai Film Associations in hitting the biggest pirate disc production bases at seven locations allegedly belonging to Peera Korsuwannakul.
