Democrats slams Thai PM Yingluck for lack of problem solving skills

BANGKOK, 9 January 2012 (NNT) – The opposition Democrat Party has criticized the government for having no control over the cost of living of Thai people while also demanding Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to step up to her leadership role.

Democrat Spokesperson Chavanont Intarakomalyasut claimed that the Pheu Thai-led government has failed to lower the cost of living as promised to its voters during the election. He cited the fresh protest against the NGV price hike in front of the Ministry of Energy as proof to Pheu Thai’s lack of directions and responsibility in taking care of Thai people.

Moreover, other government programs, according to the Spokesperson, have yet to extend to the grassroots people even though the ruling party claimed to have already implemented them.

Mr. Chavanont said there would not have been any protest had Prime Minister Yingluck prioritized all issues in her problem solving process.
