3 Thai men detained for allegedly smuggling 2 million pseudoephedrine pills

BANGKOK, Dec 3 – Three Thai men have been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle two million pseudoephedrine pills, a substance used to produce methamphetamines, into Thailand, senior officials told a press briefing on Saturday.

At a customs office in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, Justice Minister Pol Gen Pracha Promnok and other senior officials jointly announced to the press briefing that the three detainees were Arnat Phonyothee, 30, Watcharin Phoomrat, 30 and Prasong Prasopchoke, 60.
