Toyota extends production suspension through next week

BANGKOK, Oct 14 – Toyota, Japan’s biggest automaker, announced Friday that production at its three plants in Thailand would be suspended for a further week following a parts supply shortage due to heavy flooding.

Toyota Motor (Thailand)’s three plants shut down their production lines on Wednesday.

The company said its plants in Samrong, Gateway and Ban Pho are suspending production until Oct 22 as a result of disruptions in the delivery of auto parts from suppliers.
