Thai workers to rally in Bangkok to demand support for social security bill

The network of labor advocates will rally to the Government House on September 13 to ask Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to help push forwards the draft legislation of social security office act.

Wilaiwan Saetia, vice president of the Thai Labour Solidarity Committee, said Wednesday that the committee gathered 14,264 signatures to propose this draft law, which they had 60 days to propose to the government’s consideration before it would pass onto the parliament’s consideration.
