Security around US embassy in Bangkok tightened on the 10th anniversary of 9/11

BANGKOK, 11 September 2011 (NNT) – With the marking of the 9/11 tenth anniversary today in the United States, tight security around the U.S. embassy in Bangkok has been carried out as usual while the commemoration will begin on Monday.

Police from the Lumphini station and the embassy security unit are keeping vigil as usual today. However, the report said the roads around the U.S. were quiet given the significance of the 9/11 today and since it is on a weekend this year. The U.S. embassy in Bangkok will hold a commemoration ceremony tomorrow.
