Body of drowned French tourist found in Thailand

PRACHINBURI, Sept 11 – Thai soldiers and emergency workers on Sunday retrieved the body of a French tourist who was swept away and drowned by raging floodwaters here last night while crossing a waterway at Prachin Buri’s Pai Khao Lam waterfall amid heavy rain.

The team worked all night but suspended their search at times due to poor weather until recovering the body at about 10am Sunday.

The dead man was identified as Remi Huet, 34.
