Family of three drowns in Chai Nat tragedy, Unabated floods continue

CHAI NAT, Sept 19 – A father and his two daughters drowned early Monday when their boat tipped over in the torrential Thajeen River in this central province.

The tragedy was the latest in Thailand’s current severe flooding of extensive areas in the North, Northeast and Central regions with no sign of letup.

A team of divers took five hours to retrieve the bodies of the drowned man and his daughters, aged 11 and nine.
