Thai Govt to face Bt39.8 million lawsuit on last year’s bloodshed

The 111 Thai Rak Thai Foundation on Friday announced its civil litigation suing the government for Bt39.8 million damage in connection with the April 10, 2010 crackdown on red-shirt protesters on Rajdamnoen Avenue.

The foundation, a non-profit organisation formed by 111 barred party executives following the Thai Rak Thai Party dissolution, claims to represent 16 victims, killed or injured by the anti-riot forces.
